Day 580, Lost in Space-Mutiny in Space
In the Lost in Space episode, Mutiny in Space there is a scene which I love... where you can see the Jupiter 2 Freezing Tubes. This is part of my art which I have been calling Psychedelic Lost in Space.

Day 581, A Lost in Space Christmas
This could have been the only kind of Christmas tree those Lost in Space folks had! Just a bushy thing that they found nearby! Crash landing on a desert planet didn't help. Much of Preplanus was truly arid. I am sure that the Jupiter 2 could not have fit a fake Christmas tree in its cargo hold!!!! There would have been no space. What was portrayed in the episodes Two Weeks in Space, or Blast off into Space was bad science.

Day 582, Lost in Space... Light a Candle
I was inspired by an undisclosed episode of Lost in Space. The lst picture could be Penny and Will in Ghost in Space.
The 2nd could look like Penny Robinson with J5 in Haunted Lighthouse! A problem with the printer caused the boy to be closer to Penny than the original.

Day 583, Dr Zachary Smith of Lost in Space
Dr Smith reading the data tape that came from the robot. It says the temperature is going to drop to below zero.

Day 587, Antimatter Man
I love this scene ... the face off ... of the 2 Robinsons... the good John and the bad John. It comes at the beginning of the Lost in Space episode Antimatter Man when Dr. John Robinson is testing the fuel atomizing unit. It is like a door into the Antimatter world has been open and an evil antimatter John Robinson has come through the door. Hmmmmm.... the bad Robinson is the one with the broken chain at his neck. You can see this same picture done in watercolor (the same drawing) done at the beginning of the year.... alien girls.

Day 588, The Junkyard of Space and The Oasis
Dr. Zachary Smith confronts the Junkman. That poor B9 is drawing all wrong. I just needed to add those bubbles!

Day 589, The Oasis
Something is wrong with this picture! Can you tell what? ... Well, the Robot is drawn wrong. This was partly inspired by The Oasis episode. Dr. Smith has gotten himself in trouble again... this time he eats a fruit which makes him grow bigger.... which in turn makes him feel sorry for himself.

Day 590, Pumpkin Cat and The Finished Oasis
My littlest kitty... Jazzie Jessie! I couldn't get anyone to sit still for a photo so I drew her instead!
This is the finished Oasis. I am not real happy with the pink background. Those are Angela Cartwright Shadow Stamps in the background... aliens walking on the rock... one on both sides. See below for a better view of the one on the left.... I couldn't get all the watercolor paper scan in one piece.

Day 591, The Oasis
I just can't seem to get it together sometimes.I will most likely do this one again. Here Dr. Smith is using up the last of the Robinson's water supply. He said he was feeling icky.

Day 593, Ghost Planet Watercolor
This is one of those Lost in Space episodes where the robots try to take charge. The Robinson's are misguided by Dr. Smith to a automated planet where there are only robot/androids. There is a scene in this episode... Ghost Planet, where Will Robinson stands before a balloon looking like creature. The Robot B9 has sold out to the Robots.

Day 594, Watercolor Horse and The Fishy Lady Again
Horsing around... I drew this real quick the other night. But I decided I didn't like it so I colored it with watercolor and some pastels. Then I worked on this mermaid lady some more.

Day 595, Lost in Space Artwork
This is one of those drawings that I am not sure about. Most likely from first season. Will did go out on more than one occasion with the laser pistol. I don't think any of them looked like this one. Done on the back of watercolor paper. I used some Angela Cartwright's Unruly Shadow Stamps to the right. And Dr. Smith looks disgusted.

Day 597, Dr Maureen Robinson
June Lockhart as Dr. Maureen Robinson. I wish she had been given better scenes in Lost in Space. There is B9 and the Jupiter 2.

Day 598, Dr Zachary Smith is Lost in Space
Hmmm! The Great Vegetable Rebellion! Was this the absolute low point for all the actors in Lost in Space? There is a large 6 foot carrot on the rampage! Dr. Zachary Smith morphs into a celery stalk and takes root among the celerys. Judy Robinson and Robot B9 look on, as Will runs for help. Several of the actors got in trouble for giggling during the filming of this episode... and were consequently written out of the next two episodes. Hmmmmmm! Given the subject manner I think Irwin Allen took this too seriously... I mean, how many actors have played celery stalks?

Day 600, Mermaids at Sea
There were hearts in that! This is something I did a while back for the sketchy card swap. Only I put this on watercolor paper then painted it.
Same art work ... just the other side! I made my first art stamp, then used it ... there up in the left hand corner. When I went to scan this on the scanner connected to the "big computer" it wouldn't all fit.... I miss my laptop so much!
Hmmm! I guess my last post was my 400th post. And I am getting close to 200 posts at my "Other Blog".... which I call ZZZZZ Cat Blog!! AKA Millie's House!

Day 603, Dr. Zachary Smith
If I haven't wrote it before then I might as well write it now.... My favorite episode of Lost in Space is Magic Mirror. The idea of entering another world though a mirror is quite extraordinary. Hmmm!! I guess that is why Dr. Smith thought he was losing his mind! Here he is seen checking his own heartbeat as Dr. Maureen Robinson waves smelling salts under his nose. He is also taking his temperature. In one of the freezing tubes in the background I stamped one of Angela Cartwright's Unruly Shadow Stamps.

Day 604, Lost in Space B9
I scanned this twice. Changed it a little bit after I thought I was done.
I played with this and thought it looked ok with the line... after-all, in the real program you could see that line in the set... where the set boundaries turned a corner. There is that Robot B9 and Dr. Maureen Robinson! One of Angela Cartwright Unruly Shadow Stamps was used for the the back ground to the to the left.

Day 605, War of the Robots
Inspired by a scene from the Lost in Space episode "The War of the Robots". I love this story! For a moment Dr. Maureen Robinson, and Dr. John Robinson have a wonderful conversation inside the Jupiter 2
Here I used one of Angela Cartwright Unruly Shadow Stamps in the back ground to the right.Sunday, August 15, 2010
Day 606, Robot B9 and The Robinsons in Oasis
This was in a way inspired by the Lost in Space episode "The Oasis". You can see the drawing here.

Day 607, Drawing and Watercolor June Lockhart and Marta Kristen
It hardly looks like it... but this was inspired by Lost in Space episode Attack of the Monster Plants! I used one of Angela Cartwright Unruly Shadow Stamps in the back ground. If I had this to do again I would take out the Jupiter 2 and add some of those Monster Plants.

Day 608, Lost in Space Space Trader
This is an experiment or something different for me for me to do. I am using the back of the watercolor paper still but using gesso. This is a piece revisited. I am not happy with all those dots in the background. Will work on them tomorrow! You can see the original here and here!

Day 609, The Bloop and Angela Cartwright
It was during the first season of Lost in Space that it seemed that Penny and The Bloop were almost inseparable! Usually wherever Penny was The Bloop could be found! I used one of Angela Cartwright Unruly Shadow Stamps in the back ground.
I did this in watercolor with Lumiere. I do think that bloop was my least favorite character in Lost in Space! I can't think of even a guest star that was worse than the bloop ... unless it was the dragon in The Questing Beast.

Day 610, Robot B9 and Dr. Zachary Smith
Inspired by The War of The Robots a first season Lost in Space episode! There is something awesome in seeing these classic robots together! Hey! that is Robbie the Robot from the movie Forbidden Planet in the background!
Sunday, July 18, 2010
Day 611, Star Trek
This was inspired by the pilot of Star Trek... The Cage! I used an Angela Cartwright Shadow Stamp in the back ground. This was done with pen, watercolor, and Acrylic Lumiere.

Day 612, A Day Without the Bloop! A Lost in Space Watercolor
I wanted to paint the bloop... see below. But I ended up working on this one. There are several possible Lost in Space episodes which inspired this one. But I forgot to write it down on the picture as I was drawing it! And I almost always write it down! And it has been a long time since I drew the original. I did this in watercolor and Metallic Lumiere. I also used a couple of Angela Cartwright's Shadow Stamps in the back ground.
Hmmmm! I think I may have given everybody a new hairdo! Including Dr. Maureen Robinson!

Day 613, Angela Cartwright and The Bloop Drawing
I plan to do this in watercolor in the next few days. I have three other watercolor pictures which I haven't finished. This was inspired by the Lost in Space Episode Attack of the Monster Plants. A corny name for what is otherwise a great episode. In my drawing Penny Robinson is talking to Dr. Smith while she is holding The Bloop.

Day 614, Ghost in Space
I did this using watercolor, glitter glue, and lumiere Acrylic. The Lost in Space episode Ghost in Space is pure kids stuff. Maybe I haven't grown up because I love it!

Day 616, Mermaid Three of Spades
This I did in colored pencil... the three of Spades. This I also did for In This House and Garden Yahoo group Sketchy Card Swap that I wrote about in the previous post.... That is Angela Cartwright's and Sarah Fishburn's Art group.
