I am watching the Perry Mason episode, on dvd... "The Case of the Impatient Partner". It has Leslie Parrish from the Star Trek episode, "Who Mourns for Adonais?" She is the most interesting part of the whole episode.

This is a picture I drew over a year ago. It has taken at least a year to get around to painting it. Even though this episode of Lost of Space has some real corny moments it is one of my favorites. Those favorite moments include, the wind storm and a lift off. Both are fun. Then enters J5 whose most annoying features are his silly elf ears and eye makeup. He plays off Dr. Zachary Smith bringing about the worst in both himself and Smith. Penny is endearing, her best moments being when she is with J5. I love when she is lighting the candle. Dr. Smith meeting "The Zaybo" is interesting, at that point the Zaybo doesn't have hair or growl. I have a question, can someone tell me, how does John Robinson know that the relief ship from earth will be there (to the Lightship F12) in three years?? That is what he says at least, just before the episode ends.

I did this in watercolor before. But I can't resist doing it again. I like that Dr. Smith is in his pajamas! This was inspired originally by The Space Creature episode of Lost in Space. It is at the very beginning of the episode where Penny is passing Dr. Smith's quarters just as the retro rockets are being fired. This of course is not how I drew it. This time I used some of Angela Cartwright's Shadow Stamps to make some creatures in the background. My original is here.

This could have been the only kind of Christmas tree those Lost in Space folks had! Just a bushy thing that they found nearby! Crash landing on a desert planet didn't help. Much of Preplanus was truly arid. I am sure that the Jupiter 2 could not have fit a fake Christmas tree in its cargo hold!!!! There would have been no space. What was portrayed in the episodes Two Weeks in Space, or Blast off into Space was bad science.

This is one version of it! Smith in his night clothes.... and Penny's hair is not as dark.

I love this scene ... the face off ... of the 2 Robinsons... the good John and the bad John. It comes at the beginning of the Lost in Space episode Antimatter Man when Dr. John Robinson is testing the fuel atomizing unit. It is like a door into the Antimatter world has been open and an evil antimatter John Robinson has come through the door. Hmmmmm.... the bad Robinson is the one with the broken chain at his neck. You can see this same picture done in watercolor (the same drawing) done at the beginning of the year.... alien girls.

Hmmm! The Great Vegetable Rebellion!Was this the absolute low point for all the actors in Lost in Space? There is a large 6 foot carrot on the rampage! Dr. Zachary Smith morphs into a celery stalk and takes root among the celerys. Judy Robinson and Robot B9 look on, as Will runs for help. Several of the actors got in trouble for giggling during the filming of this episode... and were consequently written out of the next two episodes. Hmmmmmm! Given the subject manner I think Irwin Allen took this too seriously... I mean, how many actors have played celery stalks?

Hmmm!! I guess that is why Dr. Smith thought he was losing his mind! Here he is seen checking his own heartbeat as Dr. Maureen Robinson waves smelling salts under his nose. He is also taking his temperature. In one of the freezing tubes in the background I stamped one of Angela Cartwright's Unruly Shadow Stamps.

I played with this and thought it looked ok with the line... after-all, in the real program you could see that line in the set... where the set boundaries turned a corner. It was during the first season of Lost in Space that it seemed that Penny and The Bloop were almost inseparable! Usually wherever Penny was The Bloop could be found! I used one of Angela Cartwright Unruly Shadow Stamps in the back ground.

I did this in watercolor with Lumiere. I do think that bloop was my least favorite character in Lost in Space! I can't think of even a guest star that was worse than the bloop ... unless it was the dragon in The Questing Beast.

I wanted to paint the bloop... see below. But I ended up working on this one. There are several possible Lost in Space episodes which inspired this one. But I forgot to write it down on the picture as I was drawing it! And I almost always write it down! And it has been a long time since I drew the original. This I did for In This House and Garden Yahoo group Sketchy Card Swap. This is the 6 of hearts. Maybe I should have grouped my hearts together more. I had the hardest time sizing my pieces. What I am sending in to Angela is just the sketch. Not this colored piece. I made more than one mermaid which I will most likely post in the next few weeks. Got to color them in first. Once I get the other sketches from the others participating in this group I think I will make a collage. But they can also be glued to the back of a deck of cards.

I was wondering who was that lady? .... And was she a fan of Lost in Space and Angela Cartwright too ... just like me?? Well, I have been visiting Chicken Blog for about 2 years now. Not exactly sure how long!

Hey! Chicken Blog has been around since 2002! That is a wonderful amount of work and effort! I left a comment on last weekends post. And I received the first Sentimental Giveaway! I mentioned my other blog (a Cat Blog) and my memories of how I began it! ...... Thank you Natalie and family for the giveaway! The kitty blog is 50% sweat and tears, and 50% joy! Worked some more on this over the last day or so, just on the waterfall part of it. It is too big to scan so I had to take a picture of it. Funny how the same picture turned out with so different of colors. The first was taken out doors in the shade, the second indoors.

We have been making homemade paper at work. It is mostly me and one or two of the kids. It is hard to get the kids to concentrate on anything for more than a few minutes at a time. No lie! This last batch of paper was out of pineapple tops and leavings. But this picture was from a few months back. All "homemade recycled"... except for the glitter and ribbon. And of course Lost in Space!

The green girl appeared twice in Lost in Space. Here she was suppose to be floating in space. She was following the Jupiter 2 for its fuel. The robot was not outside the ship, but I added him anyway.

Lost in Space like in a dream, with some glitter glue. I drew this picture a long time ago... but printed it again on drawing paper and did it as a watercolor. The first original Judy and Maureen Robinson can be seen here. Have to write that the entire Lost in Space cast is my favorite subject to draw, then mermaids, horses, rain and water at night. Maybe it is a phase I am going though... I used to like drawing lighthouses most. Does it matter that my drawings are cartoon like?

What episode inspired this I can't tell. It was drawn so long ago. I printed it up on the back of a watercolor I had done. So it is the reverse side of the watercolor paper. Then I did it over in watercolor.
